Surfing the Internet the other day, I was interrupted by a pop-up. This pop-up claimed that my system was infected with a computer virus. On this bogus report, I was advised to update my computer with some unknown software. The proposal that was offered to me was annoying. I closed the pop-up and went about my surfing. Later I remembered the odd little threat and checked my computer for problems. I of course did not find any on my system and was again annoyed. Not because I lost time checking my computer, but because of my mother.
For years now my mothers’ computer system keeps getting bugs. After a bug hits her system, I talk her through fixing her computer over the phone. Every time I have to help her out with one of these types of problems. She will say, I don't know what I did this time but can you help me. Well any of you having problems like this; please do not think it is all you. I am adding a link to one of the Microsoft pages to help with what maybe happening to your systems. Just remember one thing, if you get one of those pop-ups. Close out of the program via your little x button in the right hand corner of your screen.
