Screen Names

Today I was reading articles and other blogs. While reading I came across something I think I should mention. When you use blogs or forums such as MySpace and or Facebook. You should not make the mistake of using your real name as a screen name. You should also not post your hometown, workplace or other personal information. I could give a list of reasons why you should be anonymous, but just one should do. It is all too easy for someone to track you down.

You maybe reading this and saying to yourself, then why did you give so much information? I did here on SecurityTechTalk because this blog is a class requirement. I would prefer to use a screen name and would not normally give other information. However, it is not always a bad thing to give out some of your information, as I am doing here. As you can read, I am trying to write an informative post and should not have to worry about repercussion of anything I post.
